Ten-year-old Ruby and Garnet are identical twins who do everything together. Especially since their mother died three years earlier. They dress alike, wear their hair the same, and sit together in every class. In fact, everything about them is the same--except their personalities. Ruby is funny and outgoing, Garnet is sensitive and shy. Together they're the perfect double act--and that's just the way they like it.

Soon the twins' life is turned upside down. Their dad has been spending a lot of time with his new "friend" Rose. Ruby and Garnet can't stand Rose. To make matters worse, Dad and Rose buy a bookstore out in the country and the whole family moves. Ruby hates their new school, but Garnet thinks it isn't all that bad. When Garnet befriends some of their new classmates, Ruby feels betrayed and stops speaking to Garnet. Garnet misses her sister terribly, but has to admit it's nice doing things on her own for a change. Somehow, the girls will have to find a way to maintain their special twin relationship without spending every minute of the day together.

I loved this book. It was an enjoyable book and I would recommend if you like stories about twins. Ruby was a very cheeky twin at times! Definitely recommend!

this book was AMAZING

This book is AMAZING! it is about 2 twins, who do everything alike, but one is dumb, and one is smart. They write a letter to this posh fancy boarding school, and both have to sit an exam. However, the loud dumb twin Ruby, doesn't get in. The smart quiet one, Garnet, does. Ruby takes this personally, and changes everything, will the twins ever be the same again? read the book to find out! :)

Ruby and Garnet are two ten year-oldidentical twins. They are always together especially since their mother died. Their dad hates his work but loves old books and their gran used to do dressmaking. Their gran keeps moaning that the floorboards won't stand up all that weight. Then their dad gets fussed and agrees that it's ridicoulous.he takes boxes and boxes of books and loads them in the car and takes them to a second-hand bookshop to sell.He sells them but he always comes back with loads of books he could'nt possibly resist. Then, one day, he meets a girl called Rose. He invites her to eat a Sunday. Rose isn't really nice with their gran. Then Rose starts coming almost every day. She starts changing their dad, throwing his clohes and buying new ones. Then one day, their father is fired. He decides to buy a bookshop. Ruby and Garnet have to leave their friends and their gran and to go in a new place...
