Greg Heffley is not willing to be the odd man out.

A dance at Greg's middle school has everyone scrambling to find a partner, and Greg is determined not to be left by the wayside. So he concocts a desperate plan to find someone—anyone!—to go with on the big night.

But Greg's schemes go hilariously awry, and his only option is to attend the dance with his best friend, Rowley Jefferson, and a female classmate as a "group of friends." But the night is long, and anything can happen along the way. Who will arrive at the dance triumphantly, and who will end up being the third wheel?

It was really good. I really liked when Manny was hiding in the play structure and got stuck and Greg had to get him and got stuck too, it was really funny. It was good but some of the other books were better so i give this one 4 stars.

It was such a good book it was detailed perfectly I'm writing this a little late because I read in 5th grade I would say its good for 10+

What I love about this book is that Greg always thinks he is the best ,but sometimes it goes not the way he wants it to go.

Because of the character's actions and ideas and the problems they face and what they do to overcome that problem.

I like this book because it is so hilarius.

Greg's uncle comes to live with them and his dad isn't happy about that but his mum insists as he's family. Greg's school is gearing up for Valentines day dance as a fundraiser. Greg's grade this year has more boys than girls so, boys who aren't popular don't have the best chance to find a girl-partner for the dance. Greg comes up with an idea where Rowley, Abigail and him can go as a group but that doesn't go down as well he had planned. I have been enjoying this series a lot. His family didn't have much to do in this except for his uncle as it was mostly about his school and the Valentines day dance. A fun read still. I enjoyed this one way too much. It was funny from start to finish. I even got mad at Greg's mom and a group of self-entitled seniors. I plan to read more entries in the series, but for now I'm considering this one my favorite. 4 stars

Personaly, this is my favorite Greg Heffley story and book. I loved it with the girl drama! Bravo Jeff Kinney! I liked how there are those dances, and greg has trouble! I totally reccommend you to read it!
