The UK’s #1 bestselling children’s author, David Walliams, hailed as “the heir to Roald Dahl” by The Spectator, bursts onto the American market with New York Times bestseller Demon Dentist—and it’s one dentist appointment you don’t want to miss.

Something strange is happening in Alfie’s town. Instead of shiny coins from the tooth fairy, kids are waking up to dead slugs, live spiders, and other icky, terrible things under their pillows. Who would do something so horrific? Alfie is sure that Miss Root, the new dentist in town, is behind it all. There’s nothing Alfie hates more than going to the dentist, but to solve this mystery, he may have to book a dreaded appointment…

Demon Dentist is a great book even though some parts were funny it's a book about a kid who could have died multiple times , and the disgusting way he was treated by the dentist. I would recommend this to 10+ because of what happens to the original dentist and mild torture.

pizzazz pizzazz

I think this book is good but Mrs Root is a monstrosity treating Alfie like a bag of rubbish not cool and unfair.

It's a great book. It is also funny

The first thing I thought when I saw this book was "HAHAHA" because my dad is a dentist and in a way this is how some kids see dentists... crazy people that pull out their teeth! My 2nd favorite Rohald Dahl book (BFG #1) it's packed with adventure and laughs and will keep you reading all night long. I recommend this for ages 6+ and give it 5 stars. Happy Readings!
