Henry York never dreamed his time in Kansas would open a door to adventure—much less a hundred doors. But a visit to his aunt and uncle’s farm took an amazing turn when cupboard doors, hidden behind Henry’s bedroom wall, revealed themselves to be portals to other worlds. Now, with his time at the farm drawing to a close, Henry makes a bold decision—he must go through the cupboards to find the truth about where he’s from and who his parents are. Following that trail will take him from one world to another, and ultimately into direct conflict with the evil of Endor.

When Henry looks at a dandelion, without blinking, he sees something amazing: the story of the dandelion, green and gold, dying and being born again. But then his hand is touched by lightning. While he is not hurt, except for the tips of his fingers, he is now blind. His aunt and uncle say they will bring him to the hospital in the morning. He realizes that even though he is blind, he can see the scar on his hand, and it is a dandelion. In the night, he is visited in a dream by a man who terrifies him, but may have all the answers. When he is later taken by the man, Darius, he learns he is a seventh son, and he is getting the powers of the dandelion. IF he survives.  And Darius, who is also a seventh son, wants to add Henry's power to his own. Meanwhile, Henrietta, Henry's cousin, is held for ransom by the queen of FitzFaeren, Margaret, who hopes to save her people by reclaiming relics that were stolen many years ago by Henrietta's grandfather, now dead, the first human visitor to FitzFaeren. And the witch of Endor, previously released by Henry, now is attempting to suck the life out of the world Henrietta and her family (not including Henry) are trapped in, including the homeland of Henry and his uncle. Further complicating matters is the fact that Henry's real father and mother are in this world. Will Henry find his way into the world of his birth and discover his parents before it is destroyed? Good for fans of fantasy books where magic is neither all-powerful nor easy (such as Harry Potter, where magic isn't easy, but it is definitely almost all-powerful).

This book, you should definitely read. It is amazing. It is about a kid named Henry York. In the beginning of the book, he was struck by lightning because he was holding a dandelion. This caused a whole series of events to occur including the cause of his blindness. Now Henry lays paralyzed on his bed. He decides to travel to different worlds that can be accessed through cupboards on his wall. Before he can succeed at this, he gets dragged away to another cupboard. Here he is told that he is not from his seemingly hometown. He is brutally claimed by a witch, named Darius. There is a lot of detail that I do not have time to tell you about. I will not spoil the ending. But if you decide to skip the first book to read this one, I guarantee that you will be completely lost.
