World's Largest Corn Labyrinth Elicits Distress Calls From Disoriented "Maze Runners"
For those that love labyrinths, there is nothing like the Cool Patch Pumpkins corn maze in Dixon, California. The intricate collection of winding paths, twists, turns and loops that is hand-cut by farm owners and brothers, Matt and Mark Cooley, can disorient even the most experienced "maze runner". This year's creation was particularly bewildering given that the brothers had expanded their already large puzzle into a 60-acre behemoth, a feat that earned them a second Guinness World Record!
Clever Koalas Hug Trees To Beat The Heat
Mention koalas and the image that comes to mind is that of a cuddly animal snoozing, whilst clinging on to a tree trunk for dear life - and rightfully so, given that the animals sleep for up to 20 hours a day! However, while the fact that their sedentary lifestyle is caused by their unusually small brains and the limited nutritional content of the eucalyptus leaves they consume is well-known, what was never questioned was their penchant for tree trunks. Turns out that the smart koalas have figured out that staying close to trees is the best way to beat the heat, during the hot Australian summers.

Here is some awesome news for all you wizard fans - The Harry Potter series may have concluded, but its author J.K. Rowling is nowhere near done telling stories about its magical world. This time around she is heading to tinsel town as screenwriter for a new film series that is based on a textbook that may ring a bell to the most avid Harry Potter fans - Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them, a required reading for the young wizard when he entered Hogwarts.
