Ugly Betty meets The Clique in this middle-grade series about a fish-out-of-water navigating the piranha-infested halls of upper-crusty Allington Academy.

Meet Amy Flowers: She’s a seventh grader who marches to her own beat. Being the new girl at super-exclusive Allington Academy doesn’t break her stride!

Meet the League: They rule the school, and their queen is oh-so-mean Fiona, who doesn’t exactly appreciate Amy’s individuality.

Amy is doing her best to fit in at her new school, but Fiona and the rest of the League aren’t making it easy for her. If she can pass their tests, she’ll be part of the in crowd—but what will she have to give up to fit in?

I was reorganizing my bookshelf and I found this book. I recalled it was my sister’s Christmas gift several years ago. I read it for simply entertainment after finishing all of my work. I must say the words in the book are seriously simple and easy. However, this book was written well since it is close to a lot of teenagers’ life. Who doesn’t want to hog the spotlight and rule the whole school? Who doesn’t want to be popular? Amy was a new student to Allington Academy. She tried to blend in the League, where the queen bee, Fiona belongs. What will you do if you were her? Will you try to get into the League and become well-known? I recommend this book to those who tried their best to become famous in their school. Being in the League may be something honorable in some ways, but it might had come together by tons of lies and fakeness. Anyways, be yourself when you can and always do your best!
