The Passage meets Ender's Game in an epic new series from award-winning author Rick Yancey.

After the 1st wave, only darkness remains. After the 2nd, only the lucky escape. And after the 3rd, only the unlucky survive. After the 4th wave, only one rule applies: trust no one.

Now, it's the dawn of the 5th wave, and on a lonely stretch of highway, Cassie runs from Them. The beings who only look human, who roam the countryside killing anyone they see. Who have scattered Earth's last survivors. To stay alone is to stay alive, Cassie believes, until she meets Evan Walker. Beguiling and mysterious, Evan Walker may be Cassie's only hope for rescuing her brother--or even saving herself. But Cassie must choose: between trust and despair, between defiance and surrender, between life and death. To give up or to get up.

The 5th Wave is the novel that takes place in the near future, the aliens attacked Earth by giving them disasters, breaking up their family, heart and mind. Till the 3rd wave, the only living ones are either extremely strong humans or aliens who pretend to be a human. I like the setting of this world a lot. Even though it is just another humanity’s end by random aliens, it makes the choice of “trust” and “kill” even exciting. I definitely will buy the next book! Overall, I think it’s a great book for teenagers.

This book is so good pace of the story is perfect and there's just enough action to draw you in. The problems every character is faced with really makes uou want to turn the page and see what's going to happen next. A very good read, I've already pre-ordered the next book

Great book!

This story contains an alien invasion that I find absolutely frightening, however so compelling. When I heard about The 5th Wave, I knew without uncertainty that I had to read it. The world made in The 5th Wave is intriguing! For example, cars no longer work so, Cassie needs to travel on foot beside isolated highways with no company. It's a bit petrifying, the thought of our world without persons and technology. Truly, The 5th Wave is a very well-written book. It asks questions such as what makes us human? This makes the reader think outside the box, I know this because it happened to me plenty of times! If you were to read this book you will start to question everything!

This is one of my favorite books ever. There have been a lot of alien dystopian type books recently, but this one is really good and definitely worth reading. It is about aliens that took over earth, and mainly focuses on Cassie, one of the few humans left, who is trying live up to a promise she made to her younger brother. It is mostly present, but has some background info which are her memories and explains why everything is how it is. The different parts kinda confused me but it was interesting how the author did it. There are some really shocking parts, and I think it was really amazing how the author came up with the intricate plot. It is very different than the Hunger Games but as good, if not better, so I advise everyone to read it.
