From the description, Beauty Queens, looked like a fun book but after reading the first chapter I didn't like it at all. The way it was written, I didn't like, and the plot could have been better. I only read to like the fourth chapter and got really tired and bored of it. It is worth a try if you want to read it, but be warned it is disapointing.

I thought that this would be a funny book when I saw the cover that talked about beauty queens stranded in a plane crash on a desert island. It was not as superficial as I thought though, there were lots of informative and empowering parts about feminism and stuff. I would recommend this to any of my friends who are juniors or seniors in high school.
I didn't like this book, I couldn't even get through have of it. It wasn't gripping, plus the author wrote all these weird contexts, like old stars and TV shows,
