Meet outgoing Ava Wren, a fun fifth grader who tries not to lose patience with her shy big sister. When Pip's 13th birthday party turns into a disaster, Ava gets a story idea for a library contest.

But uh-oh, Ava should never have written "Sting of the Queen Bee." Can Ava and her new friend help Pip come out of her shell? And can Ava get out of the mess she has made?

I really liked this book. Its a good book if your a shy person i myself am a shy person its really helped me come out of my shell so i recommend it a lot. This is a good story about relationships and the interactions of Ava, Pip, their family, and friends. This book helps you learn the importance of speaking up, finding your voice, and that your actions may have consequences. There is a lot of wordplay in this book; the characters are word enthusiasts and throughout the book, they create games that involved palindromes and homonyms. (The author included a list of palindromes at the end of the book.)

This was one of the books on my reading list, and it has the kind of cover that if you judged a book by its cover, you would read it. You will love it, I tell you!!!!
