When Artemis commits his entire fortune to a project he believes will save the planet and its inhabitants, both human and fairy, it seems that goodness has taken hold of the world's greatest teenage criminal mastermind. But the truth is much worse: Artemis is suffering from Atlantis Complex, a psychosis common among guilt-ridden fairies and most likely triggered in Artemis by his dabbling with fairy magic. Symptoms include obsessive-compulsive behavior, paranoia, multiple personality disorder and, in extreme cases, embarrassing professions of love to a certain feisty LEPrecon fairy.

Unfortunately, Atlantis Complex has struck at the worst possible time. A deadly foe is intent on destroying the actual city of Atlantis. Can Artemis escape the confines of his mind-and the grips of a giant squid-in time to save the underwater metropolis and its fairy inhabitants?

New York Times best-selling author Eoin Colfer delivers another knockout, fast-paced, and hilarious adventure in Artemis Fowl: The Atlantis Complex, the seventh book in the beloved blockbuster series.

I loved this book! In this book, teenager Artemis Fowl gets Atlantis Complex, a condition that is supposed to happen in only fairies, but apparently Artemis can have it too. Artemis has it because he had been a part of fairy magic. Now Artemis has OCD, Paranoia, and a bunch more disorders! But the world needs him most right now, at the worst possible time. An evil villain ants to destroy Atlantis! Artemis needs to bring his usual mind back to save the underwater city. Can he do it on time? Can he save the fairies?!

Artemis unveils the Ice Cube, his invention to stop global warming (by shooting reflective nano wafers into the clouds, and having them rain down with the snow, and when they land, they reflect the sun's light and insulate the icebergs), to Captain Holly Short, Foaly, and Wing Commander VinyƔya. Artemis' speech is slowed as he counts his words, and Holly and Foaly conclude that he has Atlantis Complex, Can Artemis overcome his Atlantis complex to solve a major problem? This book is awesome!

"Artemis Fowl has lost his mind, just when the world needs him most." Artemis Fowl has become a do-gooder, or, rather, everyone thinks he has. Coming out with his newest project- "Saving the World"- his fairy friends notice some strange behavior in Artemis. His symptoms reflect on Atlantis Complex, a mental psychosis affected only to guilt-ridden fairies, until now. Artemis' symptoms include extreme obsessive compulsive disorder, paranoia, multiple personality disorder, and, in his extreme case, humiliating love-filled confessions to eight-year former nemesis, now ally Captain Holly Short. But a dangerous foe from Holly's past is loose, and Artemis, (not his romantic-crazed second personality, Orion), is the only one able to stop him.

Love the Artemis Fowl series! The finalbook, number 8, is coming out winter this year. And the author, Eoin Colfer, has a new series which should be out 2013.
