Brent, the coach's son, is his father's best player on the 12-year-old Little League baseball team. The team is playing for the State Championship. His team is ready. They expect to win. But outbursts of uncontrollable anger from players, their parents, coaches, and officials threaten Brent's enthusiasm and concentration for the big game. Game Day comes, and Brent's nerves and emotions are a wreck. Then some unexpected events during the Championship event--some humorous, some heart-warming-- open his eyes to a score that really counts. It is a close game between two rival teams, with plenty of action and a chance for the winning team to be on national television. At the end of the fiercely fought game, Brent is excited--but over an entirely different score.

Anger Throws a Curveball is a very good book, it shows how both players and coaches have challenges. It also shows realistic gameplay and practice. This book is a book that you can't put down because it is so exciting to see what will happen next. I would recommend this book to anyone. I would mostly recommend it to kids who play baseball and parents who have kids that play baseball. This book is great!

Good book. A friend gave it to me to read and I enjoyed it. Lots of action and its easy reading.

I'm a little league baseball player and the story about the games and practice is true! I really like this book and I think other baseball players will also like it.

Good baseball book with lots of action. I play baseball and the games and practice are fun to follow. Easy for book reports.

Anger Throws A Curveball is a great book for middle school kids with an interest in baseball. this book is an easy read but has realistic parts of a little league season including games, practice, and adversity. All in all it is a great and entertaining book for children.
