For the next two months, visitors to the Belgian city of Bruges are in for a real treat. That's because this year the city's Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival features the 'Happiest Place On Earth' - carved entirely from ice! The theme was selected to mark the 20th anniversary of the Disneyland's Paris location.

Now in its ninth year, the Bruges Snow and Ice Sculpture Festival was the world's first ice festival to be held inside a specially built ice tent whose temperature is set at a frosty -10° C. The festival attracts some of the world's best artists and this year was no exception. Twenty-nine sculptors of 11 different nationalities chiseled away 400 tons of ice to create 90 amazing sculptures. The only unfortunate part is that their work will not be preserved in a museum, but slowly melt away, when the festival draws to a close on January 15th, 2012.
