i think this is a well written good book for 2nd graders and below

i want to riead this b/c fun and funny

I read the English version of this! Anyway, Bruno is a boy who is the son of a Nazi. He and his family move to Oshwitz (I don't know it is spelled, sorry) Well, come to find out Oshwitz is a concentration camp that his father, the Nazi, works at. One day, Bruno sees a barbed wire fence. Like a normal boy, he decided to check it out. And what he found was a half-starved, Jewish boy. Bruno and the boy become friends. Though their friendship was tested many times, the two boys stook together no matter their different lifestyles. Then one day, Bruno's sister was inspecting her hair and found out that she had lice! And Bruno had lice too! Bruno's sister got shampoo to help her, but Bruno (poor Bruno) had to shave his head. And then the idea hit him. The Jewish boy had no hair either. And to be honest neither did any of the other people in the camp. So, Bruno decides to find out what life is beyond the barbed wire. He jumps the fence of the concentration camp and meets the Jewish boy again. All is going well, under the circumstances, until an ear-piercing noise starts. Confused, Bruno asks the Jewish boy what the sound is. Frightened, the Jewish boy answers that whenever the noise starts people form a line and follow a Nazi. There, they are led to a gas chamber, and they die. I know this is not happy, but it is historical accurate. Bruno and the Jewish boy get swept up into the crowd of people going into the gas chamber and Bruno, although he is not even supposed to be in the gas chamber, is gassed with all the other prisoners. Although this book is heart breaking, it is very powerful. John Boyne forms Bruno in the story as an innocent boy wanting to learn. It was very sad, but I suggest it none the less as a good reminder of the Holocaust and the importance of remembering all the people who died because of it. It also shows the cruelty of the Nazis, but I appreciated the perspective of a Nazis. How their family felt about the whole thing. But, as I said before, it may be sad, but I think it is worth looking into reading.

This is super funny anyone who reads this should read the end! You should read the series!

This book lives up to it's title. It inspires you to "Do Hard Things". This book encourages young people to go beyond what is expected of teenagers today, to "rebel against low expectations". The fact itself that when this book was written, the authors were teens is a testament to the book itself. I liked that the way the Harris brothers proved their point, and encouraged, was through different types of stories. For example, in some areas they would quote Bible verses and connect how they tie in to every day life. In other places they would give modern day examples of teens who were inspired, and did hard things and give personal stories and anecdotes. One of my favorite messages in the book is that hard things can look different for everyone. For some people, it can be starting a blog or a mission group to build wells overseas. For other people it can be playing the piano in public, or making an effort to get along with a sibling. It doesn't matter how big or small it is. What matters is that you do the hard thing. I would definitely recommend this book to all pre-teens and teenagers. Although geared specifically towards adolescents, it would also probably be a good read for adults. I rate this book 5 out of 5 stars.

This book is one of the best I've read. Matt, the main character is a clone of an evil drug warlord. As he struggles to understand his existence, Matt learns the horrifyingly evil heart of his savior-drug lord master and the background of the power-hungry Alacran family. This book is action-packed with an amazing plot and is able to combine it with an element of mystery and daunting problematic schemes. This book keeps to the story and doesn't stray off and talk about every single thing we don't need to know. If you like stories about friendship, hope, and survival, this book is definitely for you.

My grandmother and i read the book when i was yonger but then we kinda stoped reading it so she lets me have it. Its about a little boy who's mom died and he wants to see his mom again so he decides to walk to heaven to see his mom again.

This is a little sad right now but it still is a great book! I would really recommend this to anyone 7+

Great for those interested in mythology as well as a funny and dramatic version of the lives of teenage vampires at prparatory school!
