The Maze of Bones (39 Clues, No. 1)
By Rick Riordan
"You have a choice - one million dollars or a clue." - Author of Percy Jackson and the Olympians, the 39 Clues is a Cahill family competition. You either pick the million dollars or get the first clue. The Cahill family is the world's most powerful family. Name someone, they are in the family. Abraham Lincoln, Benjamin Franklin. Anybody. Even Amy and Dan didn't know they were related to people that famous. How could they be poor then? Who were their mom and dad? They had a lot of questions. Now they were stuck with their aunt. Their Grandmother Grace Cahill had left them. She was a great grandmother. I liked that Rick Riordan used words to describe the character's feelings at the time. Their au revoire is Nellie, who will take them all over the world. This book was really good. They find Clue 2 when they thought someone took it from them. I would recommend this book to mystery lovers and action lovers. I rate this 5 stars.
Pride And Prejudice
By Jane Austen
The characters in this 18th-century novel, essentially social commentary about the preoccupation with marriage during the time of the book's publication, seemed astonishingly fresh and real. This is due to the intricacies of their character traits and emotions—a testament to Austen's skill as a novelist. The overarching idea of the novel, though, is simple enough: marriage. Since the whole of the Bennet children are at marrying age and female, which, at the time, meant that their financial security depended on marrying well, and also because their father's estate will be passed down to their cousin, much of the novel details interactions between them and potential suitors, focusing on playful Lydia, attractive Jane, and contemplative Elizabeth, the protagonist of this novel. The story opens with the arrival of one such young man: Mr. Bingley, a rich person who has just rented the estate down the street. His friend, Mr. Darcy, however, is rejected as a rude, stuck-up man; but on the other hand, Mrs. Bennet is overcome with the wish, however unlikely it may seem, of Mr. Bingley marrying Jane. Indeed, she might have succeeded, had Bingley's two sisters, Miss Bingley and Mrs. Hurst, not intervened. Meanwhile, Mr. Darcy's affection for Elizabeth grows, but she remains oblivious. One day, Bingley decides to go to London; this news is tragic to not only Mrs. Bingley but also Jane, who'd begun to develop feelings for him. Much more happens, but in the end, at least some of the characters do end up married, and they experience a shocking scandal. This book, what with its length and lengthy descriptions and formal sentence structure, will appeal to those who like detail sprinkled in their books. Moreover, these sentences are playful and ironic, particularly portrayals of Mrs. Bennet and the Bingley sisters, one of whom has a crush on Mr. Darcy. It's also perfect for those who want to take a look into the lives of women in the gentry class of Regency England, when people rode horse-drawn carriages and society imposed strict rules regarding women's behavior. In contrast, those who do not like this book will probably attribute this dislike to a simple thing: there is not enough action in the book— several parts are devoid really of anything like that at all. Also, you may not like this book if you prefer clear, concise plots (at times the main character, Elizabeth, seems to be hopping around from place to place). There is also use of heavy passages of dialogue to show the characters' thoughts, traits, and emotions. So, if you are not a fan of those things, go read something else. But if you enjoy reading about character interactions and humorous, complex, characters, go ahead and pick up this classic book, considered a monumental work of British literature.
Ramona the Brave
By Beverly Cleary
Ramona the Brave: I have always been a huge Beverly Cleary fan, The Ramona books have always been my favorite. This book follows Ramona who has just started first grade! She is of course absolutely ecstatic! She has a new teacher different then her old kindergarten teacher Ms. Binney! This new teacher is Ms. Griggs. and Ramona feels Ms. Griggs does not like her. I feel this is an amazing book to read, I'd recommend this book and all the Ramona books ages 6 to 12 Ramona is an extremely relatable character and she lives in the hearts of many generations!
Gregor and the Prophecy of Bane (The Underland Chronicles, Book 2)
By Suzanne Collins
If you didn't know before reading this book, it's the second book in the Underland Chronicles. Read the first book first. I may accidently spoil something about the first in the review, but I doubt it. Still, no one likes a spoiler. Only really weird people. (A.k.a.: some of my closest friends, but whatever.) After returning from the Underland the first time, Gregor swore never to return. But now he has no choice. The giant cockroaches that inhabit the Underland have kidnapped his sister, who they call their "princess". At first Gregor's angry about this, but then he found out their reason. It was foretold in a prophesy that if the rats killed Boots, they would rule the Underland. And if it meant they would have power over the Regalians. . . the rats would stop at nothing until she was dead.

The Lemonade War (The Lemonade War Series)
By Jacqueline Davies
I would like to tell you about a fantastic book I have been reading called "The lemonade War "This book is about a brother and sister, Evan and Jessie Treski. It is in the middle of the summer and a heat wave has hit them. So, Evan decides to start a lemonade stand. Evan is making a lot of money out of the lemonade stand until his sister starts one. Jessie is school, or math smart, but Isn't really smart with people or feelings. Jessie lemonade stand is making a bunch of profit and she thinks Evan is going to walk over and say "Hey, can I join your lemonade stand". But the exact opposite happens. Evan gets furious and both of them start a lemonade war to see who can reach 100$ or more money at the end of the week. Then both of them start to bend the rules by sabotaging each other but I won't say how, because you have to read it yourself to find out. I would recommend this book to people that fight with their sibling a lot, because then you can learn from Evan and Jessie. How can you learn from them? Well you can see why they fight and maybe try to avoid doing that with your sibling or even read how they apologize to each other so if your sibling is mad at you can try to say the same thing to your sibling. My opinion is that I liked this book. The reasons why I don’t love it or is my favorite is because it is so short and here is not enough back story to Evan and Jessie. There needs to be a sequel to this book about before the summer or Even when they are older explaining more about when they young before the lemonade war and the heat wave. I can connect to this book about Evan and Jessie as siblings and how they fight like me and my brother. Evan and Jessie were fighting about money like my brother and I. One time we went to a dollarama with our friends that brought all their money but me and my brother had an odd amount of money and we didn’t know how to spend it evenly. I was mad at my sibling like Evan mad at Jessie because my brother spent more money by a couple of cents. Well I hope you decide to read this great book called "The lemonade war" By Jacqueline Davis by: Gabriel
The Magic Half
By Annie Barrows
I just reread this after a year or so, but I didn't enjoy it as much as I did when I was younger. It definitely fills a niche for younger readers, but the story is not as light as the cover suggests. The book was spine-tingling, yet adventurous. In the beginning of the book the main character, Miri, moves to the countryside with her older brothers, Robbie and Ray who are twins, and her younger sisters Nell and Nora, who are also twins. Miri is left in the middle with no attention from most of her family. One afternoon, Miri finds a broken piece of glass from an eyeglass, taped to her bedroom wall. Miri looks into the glass and finds herself transported to 1935, but Miri is in the same bedroom, the same house, with four different people living in the house: Flo, Horst, Sissy, and Molly. Horst and Sissy are Flo's teenage children, and Molly's parents abandoned her so she is living with her Aunt Flo. Molly is treated horribly by her aunt and cousins, and she is the only one that meets Miri. Miri and Molly instantly become best friends, and Miri plans to take Molly home with her to the future. There's only one problem, they don't know how to get back to Miri's home in the future. I read this book in the middle of a "mourning period" because I just finished reading the Clockwork series by Cassandra Clare. I really enjoyed reading about the relationship between Miri and Molly. I liked how the author included two sets of twins, instead of four brothers and sisters. This book was a bit of a "ghost story", and I was definitely scared of Horst. The book was suspenseful, but believable at the same time. The ending was exactly what it was supposed to be, but had an unexpected twist to it. I would recommend this to girls that are 10 and older. -ifeelbookish

The Monster in the Hollows (The Wingfeather Saga)
By Andrew Peterson
I LOVE THIS BOOK SERIES!!! 🚨SPOILERS🚨The Wingfeather Saga (book 3) is about Janner, Kalmar, and their little sister Leeli. They and their mother Nia, their grandfather Podo (who used to be a pirate), their unckle Arthrum, and a book colector from Glipwood named Oskar have set sail to the Green Hollows to hide from Gnag the Namless but the moment they arive the people of the Green Hollows already don't like something about them. Janner's little brother, the high king of Anniera, is a Grey Fang like the many they have fought in the past. After a bit Nia used a Hollish way to set her Fangish sun free but under a condition, if Kalmar breaks a law, Nia will take the same punishment wether she was involved or not. Though while in the process Arthrum left for what he thought would be for the good of the rest of the Wingfeather family. Soon the Wingfeather family makes their home at a large house called Chimney Hill aswell as go to a school. While there they get to pick their guilds. Leeli picked the houndry (where she learns to train dogs), Kalmar picked the Durgen guild (where he learns to fight), and Janner picked- well- he was forced to pick the Durgen guild aswell so he could protect his brother incase things got bad because he is the throne warden. They stay in the Green Hollows into the fall and everything is normal- untill one night when a monster called a cloven creeps by the large home. After that night Janner heard a lot less of Kalmar's snoring. One day Kalmar showed Janner a cave he found in the prarie. Though little did he know Kalmar was hiding a big, ugly, smelly secret inside the cave he thought was just an empty cave. Suddenly, night after night more and more animals are taken from the farmers of the Green Hollows till one night, Janner notices his brother has been sneeking out of the house each night. One snowy night, Janner fallowed his brother's tracks to find his own brother was responsible for all those lost animals. Kalmar brought Janner to the cave to reviel his secret, he was hiding the cloven they saw that night. He was nursing it back to health (it was wounded because someone tried to end its life the night they first saw it) because he said when he looked into it's eyes, he saw himself. He had been taken into custidy that very moring to hear him and his mother would be exicuted- for eating a girl? He had taken the animals... but he sertianly didn't eat any one. Especally the house maids daughter, Bonnie. Just before they where going to be exacuted, the cloven Kalmar helped came walking in with a smile on his face and a little girl in his hands. The girl Kalmar was accused of eating. But just as it came in with the little girl, he was taken down by the Hollows fulk. But not even the cloven took the little girl. It was an 87 year old man named Bonifer Sqoon, the old man who gave them Chimney Hill, had risen aginst them and brought in an army of Grey Fangs. After a bit of fighting, Janner realized this cloven wasn't just a monster, it was his father he thought was dead his whole life. And just before the Grey Fangs and Bonifer where about to sail off to Throg with them, their cloven father and their mother (who is still a human) raced to the rescue. Their father had been badly hurt and they decided to grant him his last wish. To sail the Anniera. Though they turned around when their father's life had come to an end, Janner was able to live a short dream he would have never thought possible in a million years: to sail on a boat with his father. When ther arived back at the Green Hollows, the began making plans to go to war with Gnag the Nameless. I hope your found this review helpfull! God bless!
