Kids Books - Siblings

I saw this book and book 3 of this series at a used bookstore and I wanted to try them because I love Ann M Martin's other famous book series aka The Baby-Sitters Cub. For anyone who hasn't read this series yet, I'll give you a synopsis. Main street books are about Flora and Ruby Northrop who are two girls who've lost their parents in a car crash, and move to Camden Falls Massachusets with their grandmother, and the adventures they have with your friends. There are some complex topics, like a character's abusive alcoholic father which may be intense for some readers. All in all I recomend this book for ages 8+

Christmas is almost here and the Heffley family is way behind on all things Christmas and they want to get away. Even though Greg thinks it's not a good idea as he is perfectly happy staying indoors by the fireplace all through Christmas break, his family decides to go to Isla de Corales for the Christmas and be away from the excruciating cold. They are all packed and they leave for the airport but without taking in consideration all the traffic they will get. They make it to the airport and hit snag after snag. After lots of bumps, they make it to Isla de Corales and instantly they feel better as the hot air hits them. But family holidays aren't family holidays until there is a lot of bickering and that's exactly what ensues. Greg's mother wants the family to spend time together but Greg's dad wants to do his own thing and Rowley wants to do his own thing too. Greg is looking to do lots of cool activities so that he can finally show Rowley that he had stellar time on his getaway. Let's just say that short of getting thrown in jail, the Heffley family gets in all sorts of trouble. I don't know what it is about the Heffely family holidays that they remind me so much of my family holidays. From not leaving for the airport in enough time to end up sitting on the plane in the middle of a different family to getting lost at the resort to birds eating our lunch to not be able to get a single decent family photo are all so relatable and not to mention hilarious. I loved this. 5 stars

I love this book out of all I think that this book is my 2nd favorite book. I love that there are flashbacks, I think it's really cool that it tells you the past that connects to the future. I also love that it shows that sisters never get along all the time. It also shows that even if sisters usually disagree they can always come to an understanding sooner or later. I think that this a great book and I love all her books. I love the art style. In conclusion I give this book a 5 stars.

This book is amazing! How two sixth-grade-twins take on middle school and grow apart a little. And it adds a twist of laughter ever time.

Berta Berdette, who always felt like she's just a plain and unworthy compared to her younger sister, Glenna who was very outgoing and beautiful. This also had caused the girls' parents to treat them differently due to their personalities. But everything would change, deaths too plus also finding the suitors for both of the girls but delayed for Berta herself. This story is kind of depressing than of what I read of Janette Oke's other books but still I still do enjoy because it gives me the different outlook of how people live due to their past of growing up, their personalities differences but can still set the differences aside and learn and possibly love them for who they are. - Happy Reading!

This book is really cool. Its kinda like a modern adaption of The Original Boxcar Children. The Orphans are recruited by a secret society and are supposed to return artifacts to the right place. The children go on an adventure around the globe. Its a fun and exciting book and I would recommend it to anyone who loves a good adventure!

Oh my goodness guys there is no possible way i can recommend this book enough!! This book is a book from the Wingfeather Saga book series and my favorite book of all time. It is so full of adventure and is often a roller-coaster of emotions (if you are an emotional person, this book will make you cry!). In this book Janner and his brother are separated from their family (on purpose) mostly due to Kalmar's "terrible secret". Leeli stays in the Hollows and helps the people there the best she can through the power of her music. Meanwhile in Skree, Sarah Cobbler, Maraly, Gammon, and Arthrum are helping orphans from the fork factory find there parents, but there's just one problem: why can't they find Sarah's? Will Janner and Kalmar make it on their jorney? Will Leeli's music be enough? What if Sarah Cobbler never finds her parents? The only part I would say I don't like about this book is it's bittersweet end (it's a little more bitter than sweet). I hope you found this review helpful!!

Kwame Alexander is the author of the book The Crossover - The reader is a basketball who describe himself with metaphor and simile has the best and his father who played in the Euro league of basketball and he's a dad health problem and his mom. The setting of The Crossover takes place at school and it takes place in the gym and at home . The main characters in The Crossover Is JB and Josh Bell the twins and their father Da Man and their Mom. Reader are introduced with funking names and it about boy who known for playing basketball and his twin brother and the readers talks about their father playing in the Euro Basketball League and there mom has their parents in their it also has some feeling to it with his dad's health problem. Alexander writing style is a poetic writing with describe the characters and it get to point of a feeling and gives me a sense of the setting like when jb and josh are on the court playing basketball and how his father played in the Euro Basketball League and I have enjoy this book because it's all about basketball and how the author used lot of rhyming. For Example This is the quote from the book the crossover “At the top of the key I’m MOVING & GROOVING POPping & ROCKING flossing flipping and my dipping will leave you slipping on the floor while I swoop in to the finish with fierce finger roll straight hole swoooooooooooosh. The Crossover Book is a amazing book it made think of a place writing all poetic things to image things about jb playing basketball it made see a boy who loves to play ball with his twin brother and a life of tough times and it's good for people love sports and tough times. The Crossover won John Newbery the Honor Award and the Coretta Scott Key Award. Kwame Alexander published the book 2014 Alexander grew up in Reston Virginia.

Yesterday I read Silverbell. It talks about a girl named Jill Pole to rescue a long lost prince. The prince’s father is sad because there’s no prince to become king after him. The girl travels through an underground world called The Land Of Bism where gnomes roam, eating diamonds.Gnomes are critters like humans, but have a hundred toes. My favorite part is when she gets to the house of the ManChomping Giants, giants who eat men for dinner. First, some lazy men were sleeping nearby. Jill picks the men up and tosses them into the ManChomping Giants’ house. The giants’ house was a big stone fortress, but it had windows on the floor. That part was the funny bit. Then, the girl goes to the Land Of The White Witch, and finds the prince by breaking the witch’s spell. They broke the spell by breaking a silver bell. Finally, they must battle the witch. That part was the scary bit. The moral of the story is to keep trying, even when things look hopeless. I like the story because they had a grand party at the end. If you want to see if they beat the witch, read the story!!!
