Nate the Great

Nate the Great

By Marjorie Weinman Sharmat

Book Review by Tobot the Robot - If you like mysteries, this is the book for you. My book is called Nate the Great. The author is Marjorie Weinman Sharmat. This book is part of a series. This book is fiction. Nate the Great is a detective. Someone is missing a picture. Read to find out what happens I give this book four stars because the picture was hard to find and I like that. I wish there were more mysteries. I wish there was more action. This book is at my perfect reading level. I liked the pictures and the ending. I recommend this book for kids 7 to 9. .

Nick and Tesla's Super-Cyborg Gadget Glove: A Mystery with a Blinking, Beeping, Voice-Recording Gadget Glove You Can Build Yourself

Nick and Tesla's Super-Cyborg Gadget Glove: A Mystery with a Blinking, Beeping, Voice-Recording Gadget Glove You Can Build Yourself

By Bob Pflugfelder, Steve Hockensmith

This book series is really cool.I love the fact that they add science experiments in the book that you can do at home.I have read the book, and I think it was awesome. It's about Nick and Tesla's uncle going to a museum to fix robots (Well as Nick and Tesla would call them "Animatronics").The sciencetist before there Uncle Newt was there fixing and building the Animatronics, but they went wrong and the museum fired him.Uncle Newt has the same problem the previous scientist was having, and some other new problems.Tesla is starting to think someone is sabotaging it,but Nick just thinks Tesla is trying to get into more trouble to solve. There's a secret in the museum Tesla,Nick,DeMarco, and Silas want to know about, but no one will tell them.Maybe the super secret thing people are guarding has to do with "The sabotage".I'll let you figure that part out.

Disney Lands (Kingdom Keepers: The Return)

Disney Lands (Kingdom Keepers: The Return)

By Ridley Pearson

This book was amazing. It was a very fast read as well. I read it in one afternoon, I was so entranced. This series is a spin-off from Kingdom Keepers. The Return series is basically about the life after Kingdom Keepers "ends". This book is confusing if you have not read the Kingdom Keepers. The enemies, the people, the relationships-you can't understand the story and the layout if you have not read the original series. I recommend this book to Ridley Pearson, Disney, and fantasy fans. I believe many will enjoy this book. Also be aware that there are intense scenes. So it might be wise for parents to approve the book first.

Scorpia (An Alex Rider Adventure)

Scorpia (An Alex Rider Adventure)

By Anthony Horowitz

To me this was when the real storyline of Alex Rider begins. It is when he finds out about his family history and what his father really was and what SCORPIA is. To me all of the other books were like warm ups, getting you ready for the original. At the end of Eagle Strike, Yassen Gregorovitch tells him to go to Venice, Italy and find "SCORPIA". He listens to him and proceeds to Venice with Tom Harris, his best friend and suddenly finds himself getting tricked to work for SCORPIA by Julia Rothman, the main antagonist. I like how he was finally able to find out more about his father and how Anthony Horowitz again managed to make the book so amazingly realistic with such good details that must of had required a lot of research. It was also very long, so luckily since I couldn't put the book down, there was a lot to read.

Moon Over Manifest

Moon Over Manifest

By Clare Vanderpool

Moon Over Manifest is a tale of community, understanding, and family, with a little bit of mystery mixed in. Strange people and events become less strange as this well-crafted puzzle comes together by the end of the novel. At the beginning of the book, Abilene's dad sends her away for the summer to live with an old friend in Manifest, a town he lived in for some of his childhood. Abilene does not have high hopes for the summer. She is unsure of why her father sent her and feels all alone. When Abilene discovers a hidden box of old letters and mementos, Abilene finds new purpose. She attempts to solve a small town mystery with a couple of new friends. As she begins to uncover pieces of the puzzle, she finds herself digging deeper and deeper into the history of the town of Manifest. Questions arise about about her own family history, and curiosity about her father leads Abilene to continue her search for truth and understanding. This is a great book for middle-grade readers. I enjoyed the complex characters and the idea that people, places, and stories are not always as they seem.
