The Summer of Bad Ideas
By Kiera Stewart
This is a great book! I actually stayed up past midnight reading it; it was just so hard to put down! So Edith has always been scared. She's not like, super terrified of every single thing, but she's just a generally nervous person. This summer her best friend Taylor is spending the whole summer at camp with the most popular girl in school, Sophi. Edie wants to learn to be more brave and less boring. She's spending the summer in Florida cleaning out her deceased grandmother's house with her family. She meets her cousin Rae and they find a list their grandma made when she was young of good ideas for summer time. Edie makes it a priority to complete the list. She meets a boy named Mitchell and realizes she kinda likes him. But when Edie and Rae can't seem to finish anything on the list, the summer starts to look like a total flop. Can Edie find a way to save her summer?
Absolutely Truly (A Pumpkin Falls Mystery)
By Heather Vogel Frederick
From the author of the Mother and Daughter Book Club, Absolutely Truly is ABSOLUTELY amazing. They find a first edition copy of Charlotte's Web, and thought it would pay the loan until it went missing. Her Aunt Truly (they call her True) is the co-owner of Lovejoy's Books. Truly Lovejoy and her 4 siblings and parents move to Pumpkin Falls from Texas. They move because they are offered to run the Lovejoy's Bookstore, so their father accepts because he is looking for a job. They move out of their big house, leave their jobs, and head for Pumpkin Falls. Texas was where their relatives lived, and nobody but their aunt was in Pumpkin Falls, so everything was a bit complicating at first. But it was great after, and Truly made true friends. I think this book is worth a 5/5 rating because it really is entertaining and I never actually expected this book to be that good.

Quinny & Hopper
By Adriana Brad Schanen
Quinny is an active, loud girl. Hopper is a shy, timid boy. Quinny has two, younger annoying sisters. Hopper has two, older annoying brothers. They become friends who do fun things together. But third grade is coming, and tearing them apart. They are done with each other. But somehow they land on top. Quinny becomes popular because of her bookbag's awesome picture of her. Hopper becomes popular because he is the fastest kid in the class. And they end up friends in the end. On a personal note: I like how two opposites attracted in a realistic third-grade setting.
Poptropica: The Official Guide
By Tracey West
Ahem. I hereby declare this book as a tribute to my outrageous and obnoxious sibling, who is obsessed with video games but very dear to me. The book has guided me in the conquest of many islands and has proved useful in achieving many medallions. My only regret is that at times the description doesn't suffice as visual motion does, and that it is not updated like the complicated pieces of machinery of today. Cheers to Poptropica and this island guide! Hurrah! Hurrah! Hurrah!
