What Was the Titanic?

What Was the Titanic?

By Stephanie Sabol, Who HQ

This was a very good book because, the Titanic took several years to build and was called, "The Unsinkable." I would recommend this book to many friends. It was a sad, thrilling, informational book. It showed all the people desperately trying to get on an emergency boat. It showed many shooting stars signaling many people had died.

Black Beauty (100 Copy Limited Edition)

Black Beauty (100 Copy Limited Edition)

By Anna Sewell

The story about Black Beauty had been started when he was just a foal. He was described as a horse with black coat, along with the black mane. But once when he got older, he got sold to many different hands (people who works with horses) such like; Squire and Lady Gordon, Miss W--, Miss Anna, etc. Beauty also friends with other horses; Merrylegs, Ginger, and Captain. Even though this book is fictional but the way the author, Anna Sewell wrote about Black Beauty has just felt so real. I had really enjoyed this book and this book would be perfect for any horses-lovers. - Happy Reading!

Pelé: The King of Soccer

Pelé: The King of Soccer

By Eddy Simon

Title and author: Pele the king of soccer,Eddy Simon. I chose the rating 2 because it was kind of challenging. I read it for three days. This book had small sentences and easy words. But the main point of this book was hard. I learned from this book that nothing is easy but nothing is impossible also. Interesting I found was that Pele scored more than one thousand goals. And that his dad also played soccer. I would recommend this book to 3-5 grade because it has a strong main point but easy words and sentences.

We Were There, Too!: Young People in U.S. History

By Phillip M Hoose

Author Phillip Hoose bringing the history of America which had started in 1600s-1700s. That book includes people like; Carrie Berry, Frederick Douglas, Kory Johnson, etc. When I had read this book, I felt like when I'm reading them about their life, it's like they are alive again. It's also truly shocking of how many people that I never heard of before had experienced the difficulties of war, starvation, etc. This book would be perfect for history-lovers or bookworms! - Happy Reading!

UC What Was the Underground Railroad?

UC What Was the Underground Railroad?

By Yona Zeldis McDonough,Lauren Mortimer James Bennett

Short yet informative, this book was awesome, and I would recommend it to those who are interested in American history. In this book, you’ll find the daring tales of several slaves who were willing to risk *everything* (and yes, literally everything) for their freedom. These true stories range from Henry “Box” Brown, whom mailed himself in a box to Philadelphia to escape slavery, all the way to Harriet Tubman, a very famous Underground Railroad “conductor” who was known for leading hundreds of slaves to their freedom. The only reason I didn’t rate this 5 stars was that some parts were not as interesting as others. Overall, however, this book was great!
