This Book Is Anti-Racist

By Tiffany Jewell

This book is amazing!! The cover is really colorful, the activities are fun, and the writing is super good! It is a good book to read at a time like this. The book teaches you about yourself and it is truly amazing. The drawings are super good and really colorful! Just by looking at them you can tell that the author probably spent a lot of time on the drawings! The author did a really good job on this book and i give this a thumbs up! I recommend this book to anybody who wants to help in this George Floyd protest or anybody who just thinks racism is WRONG.

The main characters are the three girls and their mom One thing could be that they are going to go all the way to California to look for their mom and their mom might not know them or love them. My book is find and i like some things and dislike some things like went they are traveling because a long long way and one thing the i like is all the adventure they had because it was fun “ better come on and get loving now “ i think the this quote meaning is to get love now or something like that I feel the this book is really good because all the adventure’s they had i feel like i am in the adventures and i like how important is this trip for them and it really hard for them because they have not seen her mom for a long time.In the story one crazy summer the author made a strong connection with the story.

I JUST finished this book, and it's A-M-A-Z-I-N-G. It's written in verse/poetry style and it's about a boy named Nick. He plays soccer and something really bad happens- his parents get divorced. Then he can't play in a special tournament in Dallas because he sprained his ankle and something was wrong with his appendix. This book is full of up's and downs. I usually am not a person to read about sports but this one was very interesting and written well. When you start reading this book, you want to keep on reading it until you get to the end, if I ever stopped reading it I would feel like I was on a HUGE cliff hanger because there is a lot of cliff hangers if you dont just keep reading the book. Either way, this book deserves a medal. If you're a fan of soccer, I would TOTALLY recommend this book to you- or even if you're not into soccer, still READ THIS BOOK!

The Vine Basket

The Vine Basket

By Josanne La Valley

I really like this book because it shows a girl's determination to help her family. This book can sweep you back to the time of the struggles of the Uyghur in East Turkestan.

Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story

Nine, Ten: A September 11 Story

I read this book in my class for read aloud. It is a nine eleven story from different perspectives. One is a muslim girl her name is Naheed, the second is a teenage boy named Will who lives in Pennsylvania, and a african-american kid named Sergio. I think they all had these perspectives to show how everyone was affected by it in a different way. Naheed got affected by it because she wore a hijab and she was Muslim, and the terrorists were Muslim. Will gets affected because a while before the attack his father passed away, and on the attack one plane hit a field close to his neighborhood so he saw that plane. Sergio had problems himself because he could pretty much hear the attack because he lived in NY, and he won some educational award so he got money and his father who never even showed up EVER in his life suddenly came because he wanted part of the money. If you are at the library or a bookstore please pick up this book.

Mango Delight

Mango Delight

By Fracaswell Hyman

I love this book(Mango Delight), (talking about the book)and I hated it when Mango made the choice to LIE to TJ even though she like likes him. I felt bad for TJ because I know TJ like likes Mango a lot. I think it's really cute how TJ starts blurting out random facts out loud whenever he's around the girl he likes. I wish that I would meet a guy like TJ someday.

Sealed with a Secret

By Lisa Schroeder

Sealed with a Secret is a book about a girl named Phoebe, who’s sister is leaving for university soon. They don’t get along at all, until Phoebe finds a letter written 70 years ago hidden inside a old but expensive compact at a antique store. The letter contains a spell that can be used to bring two people together. Phoebe decides to try it out with her sister and goes on a scavenger hunt around London, where she lives, to figure out the clues and do them. But in reality, that’s not what she really needed to get her friendship back with her sister, Alice. I like this book, and I would recommend it! :)
