An epic and heart-rending jungle adventure from the bestselling author of Kaspar and Born to Run. For Will and his mother, going to Indonesia isn't just a holiday. It's an escape, a new start, a chance to put things behind them - things like the death of Will's father. And to begin with, it seems to be just what they both needed. But then Oona, the elephant Will is riding on the beach, begins acting strangely, shying away from the sea. And that's when the tsunami comes crashing in, and Oona begins to run. Except that when the tsunami is gone, Oona just keeps on running. With nothing on his back but a shirt and nothing to sustain him but a bottle of water, Will must learn to survive deep in the jungle. Luckily, though, he's not completely alone! He's got Oona.

Imagine running wild in the jungle alone! This book is totally about it! A boy, Will, was enjoying a peaceful ride on an elephant led by a Mahoot. Suddenly, without warning, Oona got very worried. With a glance at the sea, a loud trumpet echoed as Oona raced into the jungle as the tsunami fell. This was all meant to be a holiday. Now, it was death and survival. Will, an English blonde haired boy and Oona, an Asian elephant, just a boy and an elephant, have to survive and find their way out of the dangers in the depth of the jungle. My favourite part is definitely when Oona charged into the jungle with Will. This was because it was very engaging when Will had no skill in surviving but had to do so. My funniest part in which I found was when Will tried to immpress the tiger with his diving skills but the tiger was unimpressed. I also found that when Oona farted, it was hilarious. This thrilling chapter book is mainly recommended for people who are into adventure but also for primary students. Read the one and only running wild by Miachael Morpurgo now!

Will is just an ordinary boy within an ordinary life. Then comes the day that changes his life. Will and his mum are in Indonesia, on holiday. This story of survival within its excellent sense of humour, will suck children in as they read. The book is aimed at around 11-12 year olds and once you start reading you can't put it down until you finish.

Running Wild A boy named Will is in Indonesia with his mum, trying to escape the thought of his dead dad. He is riding on an elephant when the elephant knocks off the mahout and stampedes into a forest. Find out more in the book. Very good book. I loved it. It's very descriptive and engaging.

I think this book is an amazing, thrilling book that outlines the bond between human and animal. After his fathers death, When Will has an elephant ride on the beach in Indonesia, A tsunami crashes in and sadly killes Wlill's mother. The elephant Will was riding on stampeded into the jungle with Will on her back. This is a kickstart for his new life into the jungle. Will he survive? Read Running Wild for an adventure you'll never forget.
