The secret history of the New York Times bestselling Ranger's Apprentice, with over 5 million copies sold in the U.S. alone!

Unconfirmed accounts of a group of Araluen warriors - tales of adventure, battle, and triumph over evil - have spread for centuries throughout the known world. Most notable is a clan shrouded in mystery, phantom warriors known as the Rangers.

Two names pass the lips of every storyteller: Halt, and his apprentice, Will. They and their comrades in arms are said to have traveled throughout the kingdom and beyond its borders, protecting those who needed it most. If true, these rumors can be only part of the story.

Only now, centuries after these men and women walked the earth, do we have confirmation of their existence. Behold The Lost Stories, Book 11 in the Ranger's Apprentice epic.

Perfect for fans of J.R.R. Tolkien’s Lord of the Rings, T.H. White’s The Sword in the Stone, Christopher Paolini’s Eragon series, and George R. R. Martin’s Game of Thrones / A Song of Ice and Fire series.

THIS IS ONE OF MY FAVORITES! I cannot show how much enthusiasm I have for this book and all the other Ranger's Apprentice! Book 10 and 11 are really good, but the ending (at least, near end) of Book 11 is so sad!!! I downed the last half of the book last night, waiting impatiently for the Book 12 to arrive at my door. I finished crying, laughing, ripping out the carpet and wanting more. The humor is unfailing, as usual! John Flanagan is an excellent writer and I'm still unsure, as an 8th Grader, why the reading level is 3-6! It should be higher, as I still have to look up some words that he uses! I'll have to die before tomorrow when Book 12 arrives, because I simply can't spend another night staring at the wall and crying that I'm not sitting with a drink and a Ranger's Apprentice in my hand!!! I NEED BOOK 12 NOW! A Tolkien worthy piece!! (Well, that's a little too much credit. A NEAR Tolkien worthy piece!)

This awesome book is one of my favourites. The story is great in text but I would really like some pictures

Will treaty get a apprentice, but its a girl. Will has to teach her what discipline is and she not used to this life but when the time come to go on a mission with Will fate turns and she has to be a leader because Will is hurt.Read to find out.

I thought that this was a really cool way to answer questions like what happens to will after they come back from Nihon-Ja. I still had a couple of questions after I read this though like what does the scrap of paper that Audrey and the archeologist found mean. But over all it answered most of the questions I had. I think that this book was really good and the whole series was amazing.

The best short stories I have ever read and they give alot of info if people who liked the previous books and are looking for more to read about Ranger's Apprentice.
