I read this book a long time ago, but it is still one of my favorites. It is a fun book that any person can relate to. It is the start of a really good series which i recommend to everyone. In the book, Ivy moves to the neighborhood where Bean lives. At first, Bean doesn't like Ivy but as they get to know each other they devolop a strong bond which lives on in the whole series. This book may look kidish but it is a book for kids of all ages.

This was the first James Patterson book I have ever read and I really liked it. The book was almost like Diary of A Wimpy Kid but in my opinion, a better plot. In the book, Rafe, is an incoming sixth grader who wants to make this year a memorable one. Rafe decides to break every single rule in the school handbook so that everyone will remember him. From shouting out in class, to running around school in his underwear, Rafe does it all. This humorous book is all you need to survive middle school but while having a blast!

Usually I don't like fantasy books but, Savvy by Ingrid Law, is a fantastic book. Savvy transports you to a magical world; one where a special family is born with a magical power- a Savvy, Mibs Beaumont and her four brothers and sisters are in the long line of people. Mibs can't stop dreaming about her 13 birthday in a few weeks when she will get her own Savvy. But things go terribly wrong and Mibs's normal father gets injured. Now all Mibs wants is to save her father and with the local pastors kids she and her family get onto a bumpy ride. Full of twist and turns, Savvy is a delightful story with cliff hangers at every chapter. The next book, Scumble, is also very good and I recommend both of these books!

The Lemonade War is fun book about a brother and a sister. Jessie and Evan. Evan is going into fifth grade and Jessie is supposed to be going into fourth. Instead, Jessie is so smart she is heading to the same class as Evan. In the summer before the two have a war to see who can make the most money selling lemonade. But as the friendly competition soon turns into a race for the finish line the competition starts heating up. But will it get in the way of their relationship? It is a great book and will keep you on the edge of your seat the whole time.
