I thoroughly enjoyed reading it. In only about 3 days I whizzed through this book, start to end. It reminded me of Brian Selznick's books (The Invention of Hugo Cabaret, Wonderstruck) because almost every page has detailed illustrations that helped tell the story and also helped the reader visualize what each of the wacky characters looked like. The book is basically about a orphan boy who inherits his family's hotel. What used to be a lavish resort has turned into a dumpy wreck thanks to his uncle, Rupert, ever since he married Warren's evil Aunt Anaconda. But Warren is convinced that he can restore the hotel's state to it's past glory. However, his Aunt has some motives of her own - she is a dark witch who is convinced of the All-Seeing Eye; a mysterious, mythical treasure that she believed will make her even more powerful. As Warren makes it his mission to stop her from ever finding the All-Seeing Eye he finds unlikely friendships blooming and an even more unlikely end to the chase. This is a great mystery, extremely well-written and illustrated. I definitely recommend it!

borntoswimliked a comment in Warren the 13th and The All-Seeing Eye: A Novel.
When I first started this book, I didn't have high expectations. But I was entertained and intrigued throughout for the most part. It was nice to see a character who is unlucky, yet very optimistic. Warren the 13th, an orphan who is the bellhop at his family hotel, has lately been feeling terrible, which was rare, ever since his Aunt Anaconda took over the hotel. Soon, Warren realizes that his Aunt, and the hotel, isn't as it seems. He sets out to find a myserious treasure before Anaconda or the faculty does if he wants to save the family and hotel. If you like the sound of this story, entertaining illustrations, and are around the middle school age, this book is for you.

The summer reading program is really fun, but I think that next year you should have a wider selection of books on the reading list. There are some books however, that I think should be taken off.

I won the "Percy Jackson's Guide to Greek Gods" from DOGO and it was AMAZING. Probably one of my favorite books ever. I love that these type of guides are actually really fun to read because they're written by Percy but you're also learning a lot about Greek/Roman mythology. Looks so good I can't wait to read it!!!
