41vwrhs2xal._sl160_I Finally got to read this book! It actually took me 3 whole days to read this book, and books always take me just 2 days to read. I thought this book was interesting, but you kind of wish the deaths could have been prevented. I hope I can read book 2!

516ekpnvsxl._sl160_This is Joey Pigza, the kind of kooky boy who always seems to find himself in a bunch of madness. For most of you, this won't be an introduction because this is the fifth book in a series, but if you're like me and have never read any book in this series before, then this is you're first time meeting him. Before reading this book, I had read only one Jack Gantos book, "Dead End in Norvelt" and I did like it, but this book was kind of confusing and unbelievable for me and I got sort of bored with it. Joey Pigza's mom checks herself into the hospital and he has to look after his baby brother. But when he finds a key that might be able to show him where his dad is, he decides to solve the mystery. I personally would recommend this book if you read and liked the other Joey Pigza books. I'm wondering if not reading them affected how I liked this one.

51ix26jhvnl._sl160_"Rain Reign" is a sad but moving story. Ann M. Martin, the author is one of my favorite writers and all of her books are amazing. This one definitely didn't disappoint. Meet Rose Howard, a fifth-grader who is obsessed with homonyms, rules, and prime numbers. She lives in a small town with just her father and uncle, and suffers from sever autism. Due to her inability to interact well with other humans, her best friends is her dog, Rain, who her father found at the back of his pub one night. They live a quiet, content life, until a Hurricane Susan hits leaving total destruction in it's wake. Worst yet, Rain, her longtime companion is missing. But the hunt the finding her dog might lead to much more. The books starts out slow because the first part is mostly just background information, but after the hurricane hits it gets exciting so just stick with it. I have to admit the main character was a little annoying at first but she grows on you. Overall, it is a sweet story like "Out of my Mind" or "Wonder" that will leave you in tears.
